Engine thermostat replacement

A longstanding member, owner of a 2010 Panamera 970 Turbo, has asked the following question.

He lives in the Chipping Norton area and commutes to London by car. He require his engine thermostat to be replaced and would appreciate a recommendation for either location.

"The problem I have with my car is almost certainly the thermostat indicated by Fault Codes P2181 and P3081 together with fluctuations in temperature depending on engine load. It also takes a very long time to warm up and never reaches 90 degrees.

I would like to find a recommended garage that can carry out the necessary work for me. My experiences of Porsche and independents have been varied so I would value any suggestions."

Thermostat is a bit of a misson on a v8 but it is easy on v6 as you dont have the other cylinders in the way so radiator will have to come out to get to water pump housing were thermostat is plus new gaskets also inlet manifold has to come off to get to wiring for thermostat new bolts will be need as they are ally and they torque to yeald and new inlet gaskets
