Engine management light thoughts welcome

I would welcome thoughts and suggestions with an EML issue. The car is a 2005 997.1 C2S Tiptronic and currently at 107900 miles but had a rebuild for bore score at 99,000 (3 years ago) and fitted with 200 cell cats and unknown brand PSE replacement exhaust. The EML 1st showed after a minor service and diagnosed as a fault code P0420. Fitted spacers in post catalytic converter sensor, then replaced pre-cat sensors as part of investigation. Fault code stores in Dme for secondary Air System inefficiency so replaced the pump and the AOS at the same time. On each occasion the EML shows within 150 miles and not at start up but within 10 miles of starting a trip when the engine is fully warmed and being used enthusiastically or the most recent occasion while on the motorway at 70mph..

While not 100% certain it does seem that the valved exhaust remains open when the EML is on but it may be perception rather than fact. The car drives perfectly even with the EML on with no stutters, problems or noticeable but at tick-over does occasionally flutter when sat in traffic.
