The T bar release lever for my ‘89 3.2 carrera is totally seized and won’t budge, so I can’t get into the engine bay, any advice or others that have had the same issue? I’m stuck. Many thanks

This cable runes through a steel outer tube under the N/S/R wing often
rusted out, drown the tube for days it may come free. often packed with mud.

Charles.

Hard problem to crack, but just if I may add to Charles' post, if you can get WD40, some penetrating fluid such as the old PlusGas into the tube at the door jam end and then gently tap the tube in the inner rear wing. This could free (eventually) the rust build up.
If all this fails then you may have to cut the pipe and get access to the wire release and then get to the latch.
I guess you have pushed the lid up and down whilst pulling at the T handle to tease some movement (anywhere)?

The tube with the wire in it can be readily replaced when it is all free.
