Hi could some one please advise me not he possible cause of this noise?

its a cayenne 2007 4.8 petrol 63k on the clock.

That sounds like alternator belt too slack (maybe) plus water getting into the alternator bearings. Did you drive through many deep puddles during the very wet winter?
