Under 2500rpm (a) the oil warning AND (b) the handbrake warning lamps come on (together).
Over 2500rpm, no problem - both extinguish (together).

I've checked the oil level via dipstick - it's within the markers.
I've checked the handbrake to see if it's sticking by jacking up and rotating the wheels by hand. It's definitely free-spinning.

Any one have any ideas on this one..? Thanks.
 
Don't remember the handbrake light coming on, but my oil light coming on was caused by the pressure sender unit, at the front of thre engine. Had it replaced during a service and no problems now.
 
Try an alternator test. My gauges and warning lights misbehaved badly and it turned out to be a dodgy alternator.

Very quick test at any garage. Quite pricey to put right though!
