Early Recaro Turbo Seat Backrest Recline Problem

Evening all. A little problem I hope someone has come across before or can help with.
I have Recaro Turbo front seats with the little leaver on the sides to recline the backrest. The levers are on the door side of the seats. Think they are quite early as they later came with a knob to adjust the backrest.

Anyway, the recline mechanism was stuck when I bought the car. Lever wouldn't pull in And the backrest was stuck in a "very laid back" position. Drove home with a cushion behind me lol. I'm guessing they have not been adjusted for many years.

I took the drivers seat out on the weekend and removed the seat base. WD 40 and gentle persuasion and the lever now pushes in toward the centre of the seat and the other end of the lever pushes a pulley inward to disengage a cog. This should then free up the seat bracket to adjust the backrest camber.

Problem is the bracket itself seems to be jammed. Sprayed it with lots of wd40 but still can't get it to spring shut when the lever is pulled in. I've managed to free up the other side bracket without the lever and that springs shut now. Any advice on freeing up the lever side? Photo of the lever side below. Thanks in advance.

Fixed it! The pin with the cog on the end was stuck in the bracket. More wd 40 and a tap with a hammer and it moved in, then out. Eventually and with more wd40, it began to turn. Now greased up and fully reassembled and the recline works a treat. ??
