Dear Members, we are planning our mid-summer picnic for Saturday 27 July. We plan to meet up early afternoon for a run across the Stang, through Reeth, Aysgarth, Grassington, arriving at Bolton Abbey for our picnic and an evening open air presentation of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet by the Illyria theatre company. Tickets are £18 per person here: https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/illyria/romeo-and-juliet-at-bolton-abbey/e-mdqxbv.

Please let us know if you are planning on joining us, there will be a booking form added to this post in June, so please ensure that you continue to watch this thread.

Hoping the weather will be kind to us for an enjoyable evening - Philip and Jacquie.

Philip,
I will book when tickets are posted. I assume it is possible to just do the drive and picnic. Is the picnic bring your own?
I will be driving down from Morpeth if anyone wants to drive down together.

Hi Steve
Tickets are on sale now via the link in Philip’s post. If you are wanting to attend the play we suggest booking the tickets as soon as possible. The booking form is just to give us an idea of who’s coming so we can arrange a meeting point for the drive down to Bolton Abbey. The picnic is bring your own. The idea is to have a picnic in the grounds of the Abbey prior to the start/during the performance. There will be no access to the Abbey unless attending the play. You can of course just do the drive.
Hope this clarifies and hopefully see you on the 27.

Hi Steve
our original email bounced back as you’d out the wrong email address on the registration form however we guessed it and resent it to the above email on 3 July and it didn’t bounce. Please check your junk/spam and let us know. We’re overseas at the moment but will try and resend it to you if not it will be Sunday
Regards
Jacquie

Hi Steve,
Only just able to respond to your message.
Yes, we could drive down together. . .
How about meeting at The Manor House on the A68 DH8 9LX car park outside and we could have a more interesting drive via Stanhope, Middleton in Teesdale then to Cross Lanes Farm shop. We can do this route in 60 mins or less so meet up at 1.15pm to allow a bit of 'wriggleroom'.
Let me know if you're interested.
Anyone else want to join us?
Paul.
