Early morning run to N Wales and back - & Photoshop...

Got up early and was on the M56 to North Wales by 7.30am this morning - worth it for the great run along the old Mold road (nice and twisty!) in the sunshine.

Took a couple of picks and then had a go at some layers manipulation in Photoshop Elements 7 that I've just bought - still learning the art of photography but definitely still in Nursery when it comes to the software...[8|]

Roads were quiet on the way and car was in its element.

Only saw a couple of 'Coxsters' and one Boxster on the opposite carriageway of the M56 - no 944s!

Did see a nice shiny multi coloured Volvo estate car parked just off the Mold road as I headed homeward, but fortunately was not in maximum attack mode by then.....[8|][:D]

Anyway, just wanted to share and now a couple of pics....

Now don't take this the wrong way, because i am no genius myself. Far from it infact. However, some advise i was once given has helped a bit on the software/manipulation front. With black and white, remember its black and white and not grey. Problem is that its much easier said than done and getting a digital picture to look like a proper black and white photo is something i haven't mastered. I am impressed with the job you have done picking out the car though, however i am not a huge fan of effect. So all in all, you don't know me from adam and i have rocked up and been all negative, sorry.

Do i get some browny points back if i say that red is the best 944 colour and your wheels make your car look absolutely stunning?

Nick,

Noticed you're in Warrington. I'm in Liverpool. Off thread but... I'm considering the KW variant 3 suspension. Any onpinion on this vs. the Bilstein you have? Plus where up here did you have it fitted. I'd appreciate any advice. P.M. me if you like.

Thanks

Sorry, just mucking about. Nice job Nick. It is a stunning piece of software and you can do some great things with it.

The blue is WAY better than the red....[;)][:D][;)][:D][;)]
I need to work out how to do this.....

It involves a Red 944, a bodyshop with a good spray booth and quite a large wad of cash.

But the end result is a MUCH better 944!

I don't know, you post a little thread with a couple of pics and suddenly everyone's a critic.....[8|]

..most notably all of those people who have either slower, boostless versions of the car or those who haven't managed to buy one in the right colour, or, most tragically, a combination of both of these scenarios...[8|][8|][8|][:D]

Seat diesel anyone...?!!!!![;)][:D]

I don't know what you are talking about! [8|]

Git! (Or "Goit", as I am in a Red Dwarf mood!)

Nice but not quite brash enough. Can you make one in fluorescent yellow or green with pink wheels? [:)]

Nick, in case you didn't know yet you probably have the ugliest 944 ever [;)]

For a primarily road biased car with occasional track use, I would say KW everytime - mine is great on track but because it lacks the clever valving of the KWs new tech, it is sometimes just too stiff on your average bumpy B road either when you are pressing on, or simply want to cruise!

I have yet to sample a better compromise than the KW setup. I love driving mine on track where it corners flat and is superbly damped but not many UK roads are that smooth...[8|][:D]

Mine was fitted by RPM for the PO 3 months before I bought the car - he bought the kit from Lindsey Racing in the states, before the exchange rate imploded.
