Hello!
With MOT due soon, I discovered my nearside driving light was not working. To make a long story short, I have removed the fog/driving light unit and replaced the bulb. In doing so and testing at various stages, I found the original bulb worked again before stopping working once the unit was refitted. Removing again, I noticed the original bulb's glass had separated from its metal holder - perhaps through road vibration or something like that. In any case, I replaced with new, refitted the unit and plastic holder. But, to no avail - it no longer works.
Since the unit momentarily worked and no longer does with a new bulb, could the badly connecting old bulb have shorted out a fuse somewhere? If so, would anyone be able to advise which fuse I should inspect?
If it is unlikely to be a fuse, what other checks should I do?
Many thanks.
