Driveshaft Removal

Hi Guys

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to remove the off-side driveshaft from a 944 Turbo without removing the transaxle oil cooler. If it is possible, what is the technique as it's got me stumped.

Thanks in anticipation.

I've changed an offside driveshaft CV boot on my turbo without removing the oil cooler tube. But it was years ago and I don't recall if I actually removed the driveshaft. I do remember like a lot of jobs on a turbo, it was a pita though.

I’ve just done it can’t remember how
definitely didn’t remove the oil cooler but remember having to drop part of the suspension to get it in
I remember thinking I should have just removed the oil cooler assuming there’s enough room between the cooler and spare wheel well to get it out.
sorry can’t be more help

Thanks guys. I'll have a go at dropping the suspension. Hopefully if I detach the shock absorber lower mounting I might get enough movement to get the drive shaft out, fingers crossed!
