Doors

Easy question. Are the doors on a 1992 944S2 the same as on a 1984 2.5L 944. Not interested in the trim, just the metal.

I'm 95% sure they are. I say that because the doors in my '90 Turbo have all the fittings for the manual window regulator etc. from a 924/very early 944.

Just interested as my driver's door is a little rusty in one spot, and this '84 door looks pristine and cheap.

Back on the issue of the driver's door not being aligned properly on my car, I've still not found anybody who can tell me if the doors can be adjusted back/forwards. BUT I have deduced that the hinge pivot point is further from the front edge of the door on the N/S than on the O/S. Which implies that there is an adjuster inside the door to allow front/back movement, and would also explain why my O/S door seems to be too far forward. On the strength of this I will be taking the door to bits just as soon as I can find a nice warm garage to do it in.
