Door lock pin thingys

Another question, as you can tell I'm doing a lot of the little jobs to the car after it's refurb!

My driver's door lock button had broken. I've found ali versions, that I don't want, and say they are for the non-illuminated type only. Mine do flash when it's alarmed.

Are they dealer only? and, is there a metal alternative that's not silver, as it would obviously last better than plastic.
 
I just replaced mine with a second hand part
