Dial Removal

Hi, I can see how the actual dials can be removed but can the glass fronts be taken out without any special tools. Mine have some marks on the inside (?) and I want to clean them up.

There is a post from maybe a year ago regarding repairing 964 speedos.

I do not have the time to look for it at the moment I'm afraid.

I can not remenber whether you can get the glass out with damaging everything (I'm pretty sure you can though), but if you can find it, it will tell you how to do it.

This is the one I had in mind, which is specifically for the 964, you'll need to scoll down a bit but the instructions are 100% accurate. Careful as it may well be different for a 993.

Looks like getting the trim ring off is rather messy and you might prefer not to go ahead. I remember doing it now, but I had no choice if I wanted to repair my odometer/trip meter.

Have fun! [X(]
