Hi, does anyone have any experience of OE Match parts from Design 911 over genuine Porsche parts?

I need to replace:-
Front top mounts
Front bump stops
Rear lower control arms

Many thanks

No experience with those parts but have seen some quality issues with some other parts (things that simply don’t work not just a one off bad part)

You may already know but oe match is design 911 in house pattern part brand. They may be great they may be poor but they aren’t any more oe or matched than any other 3rd party pattern

Its not just their in house brand, it is rebadged aftermarket from many different manufacturers. Its a shame they use this idea as at least when they were listed as the aftermarket manufacturers you could sort of make up your own mind if the parts were going to be good.

Paul has nailed it with that!

good point - I saw one case where someone bought something for a 981 from ebay and it didn't operate properly - returned it and bought the oe match from d911 - identical unit turned up - costing 60 more, and still didnt operate in exactly the same way as the ebay one.

The OE Matched parts I've had all seem ok, but where I feel a part is important ie wheel bearings, then I will look/choose Porsche parts.

Never had an issue with type911 parts!

Many parts they sell, whether OE or otherwise marked are not up to standard, unfortunately o_O

Having recently removed the engine and gearbox of my 997 to replace all of the coolant pipes / hoses, sensors, starter motor, alternator, etc, etc, about half of those parts were OE Match from Design911.

The guys on the other end of the phone are helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The delivery is quick and well packaged.
The fit of the OE Match parts is good.

Bad points?
Sometimes your local OPC can be cheaper, equivalent in price, or not much more expensive for OEM parts.
I had one coolant pipe that turned up damaged, so check your parts before you fit them and throw away the packaging.

All in all, I wouldn’t have any hesitation in buying from Design911 in the future.
