hello I bought a shiny black 944 two weeks aog the dash lights burnt out straight away. I took it back to the independent who worked on it for three hours then told mts e it was fixed when it went dark I put on my lights, still broke do you think an auto electrician will be expensive and do u know a good one in the manchester area thanks jon

My cab's instrument lights were a royal pain when I first got it. Is it just the ones for the instrument cluster for you?

If it then it could be the same problem as mine. All the bulbs are held in by being pushed into a plastic holder which in turn attaches to the instrument PCB by being pushed through a hole and turned a few degrees. Copper lugs on the holder do the locating and provide contact. On mine the lugs had lost their spring and the contacts were dirty. I bought new bulb holders (not expensive at all) and cleaned the contacts and it's fine now.
