Hi all. Well whats all the fuss about dash removal. Have been putting it off for a year or so to replace the heater Matrix.
About 2 hours and it was out. Another 20 and the matrix is out.

Taken the dash to a trimmers today and they are going to repair the cracks and colour match and spray. They say that the guy that does it is very good and will be 95% (1 big crack).
New matrick from P & H has gone to be tested as well (don't want to put a naff one back in). If it needs re-coring £65.

A pleasure to take aprart with all knuckles intact.

MOT next month. Yipes.

Hopefully that was supposed to be 20mins............??

Indeed! [:D]

Of course, as Haynes says, it's just as quick to put it all back together again and everything will work first time. [&o]

Good work with the matrix, though. I worry about the small but increasing number of them failing, and it's certainly not worth all that work to put a used one in unless it's been tested properly.
