Dansk turbo exhulst fittment issues

Just fitted one. What I thought would be hours job turned in to 4.
I had 2 lower the back box cut and snap the top 2 bolts, they cracked off but got tighter a turn or so down.
Got a few issues. The tail pipe is sitting low. Top off tail pipe is sitting at the bottom off valance?
Its also sitting tight up 2 rear roll bar even thou its already dented here, not pressed flat like the one I removed.
Its also smaller in ID 58mm rather then 65mm

After a drive today its hitting, there was a dent here b4 where it must off been hitting on the last car as well.

Its hitting with just the engine running and the car sitting still, sometimes it don't. Iv noticed no increase in power response or noise.

Only thing its got going 4 it is the shiny tip and back box.

Wondering if it worth trying 2 bend or put a flat spot in it or just removed and put the stock back on, nothing wrong with the stock.

Its got 4 bolt end. Was sold as a turbo exhulst removed from a turbo. So should be

However I would think the fittment issues would be the same on n/a as well unless the middle hanged lower? Kicking up 2 the rear? Lifting the tail pipe up.

The 4 bolt end has simmler triangle lump on one side like the factory parts? Do dansk come with this? MIT be n/a that's been cut and wielded turbo 4 bolt end on

Anyone got a dansk on there turbo? Could they check? Shouldn't need 2 jack up

Just want ID and tail pipe hight I relation 2 valance.

Will be removing tmw

Only the turbo has the 4 bolt flange, you're correct there. Are you sure it hasn't been modified to fit the other car in some way? Are you sure its a Dansk one, Im not sure on the internal diameter.

Yes has dansk on it, was brought from a member on here via eBay. Don't think it been modded, looks right, side by side there no noticeable differnce.

Going stage 2 in the next few weeks so I wanted car tuned 2 it but looks like I'm better off with the stock 2.5 then 2.3 dansk

If was taken from out side tubing.

Yeah, but I thought it would be better then stock, at least.

Removed the dansk and re fitted stock.

Pretty quick this time.

Product code is 9244.s1 so maybe its ment 924 turbo

I can't sell the dansk on knowing the fittment issues, place them on top off each other and stock bends sharper and then back clearing the roll bar better.

I cut the back box of and 4 bolt flangeand was thinking using it 2 make 3" exhust. However the pipe tubing in the back box is just over 2"? Will this be a waste off time?

FWIW (snigger) I'm just confused with "2" instead of "to" when we also have 2" and "4" instead of "for" when we have 4 bolts................But then I'm old, or should that be 2 old 4 all of this? [;)]

I have always assumed that Terry was struggling to write it far more than I have struggled to read it.

The Dansk boxes are crap. They actually reduce in diameter by about 10mm between the front flange and the tubing. They are tinny pieces of shit. Much better with an original rear box and go better with them anyway? Would you like to buy one?
Alasdair

Iv got a good rear box, after cutting it up your right.

However what I had read was good reviews and butt dyno. Didn't expect much from it, just thought at stage 2 it may flow better then stock.

I had/have a Dansk rear section fitted to my series one car and Im happy with the construction and quality. The tail pipe trim fell off, of course, but they all do that! It transpires that you should drill and bolt them on...

Quite fruity, especially with plastic windows and a little bit of extra go, too.

I think they use the same tubing / box 4 both n/a and turbo and just change the flange? 2" my one had 2" tubing
