The second venue now will be the Merzbrück airbase nearby the Aachen Autobahn junction between A 4 and A 44 (Autobahnkreuz Aachen), and the event date, the 25th of June 2016, is well set before the summer holidays back here.

Still, more concrete information will follow, but indeed, every Porsche Cup Car from 1986 until now (including all the 944 turbos as well) will be highly welcome.

The Cup reunion will be held in the frame of a normal sportscar meeting for street legal Porsche cars, supported by the local Aachen Porsche Centre. The factory itself will not be involved.

There will be quite tiny opportunity to have a full driving presentation on the "Rollbahn" of the airport venue, where smaller planes are starting and landing normally.

German sportscar magazine werk1 will be the exclusive media partner, and there will be both presences on the werk1-website as well as on Facebook.

Apart from the unique opportunity to celebrate 30 years of one make racing with Porsche (personally, Carsten Krome, werk1 | my heaven eleven eye-witnessed the world premiere back in April 1986), the event will be a networking opportunity to everybody.

My 993 Cup RSR will be racing at Spa that weekend, if anyone is passing Spa ( and you will be ) drop in, entry is free. It's the Spa Summer Classic 25th/26th June with Qualifying on the Friday.

Good luck with the racing ...... Our schedule will be to tight to detour unless others take extra days.

keep us posted how you get on ..... ??
