Cup Car Shocks

Surely it has to be down to cost...do you have prices for new and refurbished....nothing wrong with a set of re-valved Bilsteins, but if the labur works out more than a discounted new set sitting on someones shelf, what is the point?
I am aware these are clubsport and not cup,,,but could they be of use with new cup springs???

Need new Bilsteins front and rear -revalve or new, what's the verdict??
There was more than one version of cup springs that's for sure but I don't beileve (not 100% on this) that the 64RS clubsport had different suspension to the standard car.
I do agree with Paul though it comes down to price and lead time which ever is the chaeper and or quicker. I don't think the end product would be much different.

I just talked to Franz Konrad from Konrad Motorsport about your shocks. He really knows his business and says that Bilstein could revalve them in case you can persuade them to do that. They might refuse it, at least it could take a long time. If it´s done by Bilstein (noone else, please) he says they ´ll be like new.
He had no idea about the cost in comparison to new ones.
Concerning set up there ´re rumours about different versions of shocks and springs for the Cup cars but I have no personal experience. I heard about a shocks and springs combination developed by Roland Kußmaul with Bilstein that makes a Cup car a little more "lovely", but that´s all I know about it.
Hope that helps, think I´d go for ne ones.
