Crankshaft Position Sensor - same as Flywheel Sensor?

At the risk of sounding daft, are these two items the same thing?

My 2002 Carrera 4 is now intermittently refusing to rev over 4500rpm. No CEL light but I have code P0335 which translates to Crank Position Sensor (apparently its a fairly common fault). So I'm trying to find a new one without resorting to an OPC and Porscheshop have one listed. The photos looks correct but its described as a Flywheel Sensor. I reckon this is the same thing by a different name but I'd welcome any thoughts.

 
Thanks Andy. Just any case anyone else has this problem, I have managed to find the original Bosch part no (0261210204) which equates to Porsche part no 986 606 12 02. Buying by Bosch number means its about half the price of the Porsche original item.
 
We used to have a good DIY for this in the Technical Articles section, but all the photos from all the TAs seem to have disappeared without a trace.....

Apparently, a lot of old photos on here have gone. How photos used to be stored/uploaded/hosted, was changed/stopped/dis-used and alot of historic pictures have gone. I do not pretend to know why, what changed, or how things were previously done, still being new to the forums and all, but at Bicester Scramble, I was chatting to someone who was trying to explain it to me

Don't know if that helps you at all?
 
Two reasons at least for missing images:

1. Photobucket started disallowing links to subscribers’ stored images unless they signed up for subscription fees, and

2. The Club started requiring https links rather than http so that even where picture links were still valid, the Club’s server would not display the images .... not sure that change earlier this year was ever generally notified to members
 
The 996 TA photos can't be blamed on Photobucket, as they were all hosted on this site, so whatever happened, 14 years worth of work has gone up in smoke thanks to someone.

I have referred your observation and noted the value of Register technical content to Chris Seward, George Woodward.

I suggest others do the same if you feel it diminishes the value of membership.

It was May last year that we got this all sorted thanks to George at C H, I will make him aware again and hopefully a permanent resolution can be found.
