Alan (our new RO) has arranged a day at crail airfield on Sunday 20th March - can anyone wishing to attend please email him (he doesn't do forums) on alan@lindsayandgilmour.co.uk

The blurb for the day is

On the 20th March we have an open day with 1/4 mile and sprint track £7.00 entry and £15.00 to do both activities as long as you want(this is one of our test and tune days with no Magazine coverage so much more time on track and less Novas).Gates open at 9.30 till 4.00 PM. This would be ideal as its one of our 28 days of operation so no bother from outside parties. Its also very easy on the cars as you are not chasing anyone on the 1/4 mile just side by side beating all the Subaru's and Lotus's that come on a regular basis. Its 1 at a time on the sprint track where they can drift or slide or spin without anyone behind running in to you basically a chance to explore the car on a tight figure of 8 on a smooth concrete track. Hope this works I could do entry for Spectators in a Porsche for £5.00 instead of £7.00.Its cheap and quite addictive ask Dave Jones how he enjoyed whipping all and sundry with his 993 GT2.

I'll be joining the 'convoy' north of the Forth Road Bridge at 10.00am +
If I knew which route you were all taking!
Scenic coastal? or the fast route through central Fife (Glenrothes)?

Sorry all, had to leave in a hurry due to a phone call from home. However I did get one go on the drag strip - wasn't really ready for the lights to go green as soon as they did, so my reaction time was 0.8s. I also mis-judged the end of the 1/4 mile and thought I had passed it, so was already on the brakes before the end [8|] So my final time was 13.7s....ooops.
