Coolant leak

Anybody got an answer for this?! I had a slight leak from the plastic elbow that takes the overflow from the front ot the thermostat housing...it's now got so bad that I can see the water running out of the joint. The infuriating thing is I had it "fixed" at the last service!

Looks to me like something unlikely to work....the elbow is plastic, so as you tighten the flange down it can't possibly stay flat and make a seal! There is an "O" ring seal between the elbow and the face of the thermostat...I'm about to reach for the Hylomar!

Has anybody come across a reliable fix for this please?

Thanks Rich...I phoned Promax yesterday and they confirmed that it's not uncommon (makes me feel better). Ordered the elbow & O ring, they arrived in this morning's post...a great service, so I must check them out for other stuff (service, belts/rollers etc). If this is under pressure it doesn't look to me nearly good enough? I'm going to use Hylomar on the joint. If it's good enough for a cylinder head it's good enough for this I reckon. I'm sure the official assembly procedure is no sealant, but we know that doesn't work because my local incie assebled it last time and it leaked.
