Clutch Plate

What do you want to know? It's a clutch plate of unknown origin: he conspicuously fails to name the manufacturer is, and frankly I'm not buying any friction materials from unknown sources. There are loads of shonky counterfeit brake and clutch components around, as with many other components, and a lot of them have nasty things in them.

If it turns out he can demonstrate satisfactorily that it is a legitimate part from a respectable manufacturer, then it might be worth buying, but all that is yet to be established.

Another thing, call me a snob if you like, is that I don't buy safety related components from traders who can't spell. Personally I do not want a clutch that works 'grate'.

"[FONT=calibri"]Please note. This item will work and it will last for a long time, I will not accept returns for no good reason however if you install the clutch and you still not happy with it than send it back before the 30 day and I will issue a full refund as soon as I get the item back. what I mean by that is I have worked very hard to come up with this item. Some costumers look at the item and say oh it won't work or it may not work, without even installing it. So please install it before you contact me about an issue you may not have. I am confidence you will be glad you did. This clutch is in my Porsche and it works grate as a matter of facts I am using the car to commute to work every day I drove over 12,000 miles on this clutch and still feels like new."[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

Still showing for me [&:]

My curiousity is how can a spring clutch plate be fitted when the car has previous had one with a rubber damper? And whats the deal with the bolts?

Maybe I am wrong but I thought the normal route for clutch replacement in a 944 was now with a spring plate rather than rubber doughnut at least that is what the Sachs one in my S2 was replaced with.

very true David, but as far as i was aware you had to replace the whole lot if you are switching from rubber to spring?

This. Absolutely this. Changing the clutch in a 924 or 944 is such a large job you don't want to be mucking around with substandard parts. Pay for the right thing and pay only once for labour.

Too many questions are raised by this advert to want to even go close. (Besides the question about where he is getting clutch plates on their own from? My guess is he has identified something else that is a similar fit and much, much cheaper than the Porsche item, and is trying to make a profit without letting on. Avoid.)
