We thought rather than keeping you guessing, (although still work in progress) it would be better to confirm the date for our first major event of 2026, which, in keeping with tradition, is scheduled for the first weekend in April, albeit on the Saturday, to avoid Easter Sunday.

Further details and info will follow shortly as soon as we have everything confirmed, so make sure you save the date.

As an add on, if like us, the seasonal lack of events is driving you up the wall and the thought of just a few hours of driving doesn’t quite cut it. Deb and I are planning to extend the holiday weekend drive by staying in the Borders on the Saturday evening of this year’s Clear Away the Cobwebs event at Dryburgh Abbey Hotel, St Boswells, Melrose, Scotland, TD6 0RQ.

Although, not a five-star hotel it does have good reviews, plenty of parking, competitively priced and lots of options available to suit your budget and can be found and booked on the usual booking sites. Of course, with so much to do around the Borders, you’re free to come and go or do whatever works best for you.

Our thoughts are for a leisurely Sunday morning, then after breakfast head towards Moffat along the fabulous A708, past St Marys Loch, before eventually heading South. Depending on interest I’m also happy to look at lunch stops on the way back down on the Sunday.

Sounds Great, we are in for the Saturday and Sunday.

Looking forward to getting out in the Borders.

Mike, Barbara and TJ
