Classic You Drive at Porsche Silverstone

I did the Porsche You-Drive event on Saturday. It was the "Classic You Drive" so every one else was driving older 911s. They had us divided into 4 groups of 6 cars. The events were great fun and a super learning experience. I was quite happy that my 944 was the only car in my group that didn't spin on the first run through the kick plate! Ice hill was super fun as well.

We also got to spend half an hour driving a new 991 on their handling circuit. I was quite slow as initially I was concerned about stacking their 90k car. It's quite amazing. The best car i've ever been in - by miles... After I was done the instructor tok me around for a couple of laps which included doing a launch control start. Definitely made my car feel a bit underpowered when i got into it.

good to hear you enjoyed it. I'd love to do this too, I just need to change the clutch and get a full alignment first!
