Anybody else booked in to the above at PC Reading this Saturday 25th Feb.?
It should be interesting, the girl that took my booking thought that 356B T5 was the registration number and couldn't find it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

John, they emailed an invite to me, they must have my email details, and I have booked a 11am slot, it takes 45 minutes with you and a technician under the car.
I did one of these a few years back when they did a 996 clinic, it was good as you can have a comfortable mooch around under the car with a techy telling what needs attention.
Give them a call it's open to all classic Porsches not just 356's.

Thanks for that.

Sort of like a service clinic for oldies. I have seen nothing advertised in PP the like. Wonder if they informed the 356 and other Register Secretary's[8|] or perhaps its just for people in and around the local Region's?[&:]

I recieved an invite to put our newly back on the road 356C in their Porsche Centre showroom and have an inspection booked for 2.30pm.
It is said to be the first 'Classic Porsche Service Clinic' and I am told it might be done by other Porsche centres that are part of the Classic network.
I only found out about it because I worked with the Porsche Centre Reading when organising the R21 stand at the last two Kop Hill Climb events. This years event will be supported by PCGB office and is on your Wallchart Calender and the list of events.

Hello John.

I am Region 19 and PC Reading is in our manor but I don't think anybody else in the region knew about it.
I am on the ramp at 11am so may see Robin if I stay for lunch!

To confirm, no communication received for Carrera 3.2s regarding this opportunity.

Hi guys, I am totally out of my depth here typing out a forum question but you got to start somewhere! I bet even when I have typed my question I won't even be able to find the send button?
Here goes, I have a UK new 356 to export back to NZ with me around August / September. It is currently 6 Volt and at some stage I will want to change it to 12 volts. Don't ask me why? I know if I venture into the US 356 registry (of which I am a member) forum the answers will all be there? but I thought i would start here. So! what are the pros and cons/ pluses and minuses of converting a 6 volt system to a 12 volt system? Bearing in mind I won't be doing any of the work myself.

Like you, I dont know why but upgrading from 6 volt was 1st job on my list. That was almost 20 years ago when I purchased my 356C. I ran her on 6volt and no problems. She is still on 6volt today and no problems.
Suggest you leave well along for a while and then make a decision.
