Clarke Bluetooth battery monitor experiences?

I saw the Clarke Bluetooth battery monitor mentioned in a recent Porsche magazine (can't remember which one) and wondered if anyone had experience of these and their worth. Our car isn't frequently used so being able to check the battery condition from outside the car to see if it needs a top up charge would be useful. Price is shown as £28.79 and I want to check if it's worth shelling out (or putting it on my Christmas list!)

easy enough to pop the bonnet or leave poking out..

or buy the cigarette lighter version

I use trackers from TruTrak for my cars, either connected directly to the battery, or plugged into the ODB port.

One of the reasons I originally bought them was they also report battery voltage.


However, there’s also a £5pm cost for the GPS tracking side of things.

If you’re not in a position to regularly use a Ctek or equivalent, then for such a small outlay in my opinion it’s a no brainer, Looks like it’s rated at 1.5 Ma so very minimal drain on the battery. So go for it.

+1 for the TruTrak devices. The bluetooth options are fine if you are near the car often enough to keep an eye on the app when it picks up the signal from the monitor. in my case I needed a way to remotely know if the voltage was getting low. As stated there is an on-going data cost. They use 4G.

+1 for the TruTrak devices. Great piece of kit and for £17 for 3 months it's a no-brainer, so much so that I've fitted one to all of our cars at home.
