choice of fuel plus diagnostic seminar

Just read Maurices piece on fuel in Porsche Post and it reminded me of a few months ago. I pulled into a german motorway service station for fuel and was surprised to find 100 octane fuel on offer. It was a bit expensive but you don't have an opportunity like that every day so I filled up. I pulled back onto the motorway, lit the blue touch paper and waited to be astounded. Result --- no difference. Was I supposed to notice a difference? I thought I might have noticed something.
Reference diagnostic seminar at Cornbury house. I would like to register my interest in that Maurice.

Read the previous threads on this subject. Basically, the conclusions reached are that if you have a smaller-capacity motor you will probably notice more "pep" in its performance, but with larger-capacity engines like ours you will probably not notice a difference.Apart from the satisfaction that with such fuel, your engine will be at peak performance.

My understanding is that the 993 is optimised to run on 98RON petrol. Any higher and you won't notice any difference as the engine ECU is not designed to take advantage of it.

Nice to see some interest in a seminar .. I'll look for a date !

Maurice, I'm really keen on this seminar too.
The PP article a few months back on building the device and the first use of it were really interesting.
Cornbury House is a long way from Scotland, but I'd find some reason to get down there for work reasons.
