Child Seat For Impact Bumper 911

930T

New member
Hello. Does anyone know a child seat that will fit in the rear of my 930? My daughter is nearly 5 years old and I'd like to take her with me to the Silverstone Claasic in July. I've looked but not had any luck finding one. Any help/advice would be appreciated. Thanks. Craig.

Hi Craig,
If you google you will find quite a lot of advise re. what fits and what doesn't.
I used to ferry my kids around a lot in mine so i had to find a good seat and belts.
Mine is now on Ebay if you want to buy one. Porsche Child / Toddler Seat - 3.0, 3.2, 964, 933, 911. ... (122441145324)
If you local to me and only need it once you could borrow mine - I'm live in Leighton Buzzard LU7 and work in Milton Keynes MK9.
I'll be at Silverstone Classic too but that will be too late for you to get the seat.
Steve

If I remember correctly the rear of our cars only have lap belts as opposed to over the shoulder items, thus any seat you look at must be able to be held in position only with lap belts.

I would imagine that this means booster seats would also be unusable.

Thanks both for your replies. My car is fitted with 3 point seatbelts (Option code 335 -Automatic 3 point rear seat belts). After I posted the message I looked online and found a thread on Pistonheads about Quickfit so sent them a message. Much of the other info available seemed confusing so I was going to wait what Quickfit said. I did think of eBay but hadn't looked because I guess I couldn't be sure of fit and whether the seat (unknown history) would be safe etc. Having looked at your eBay post Steve, is your car a 993? The seat squab in those always looked bigger than in the 3.2 Carrera's? Have you used that seat in a Carrera? I am interested in your seat but live in Manchester so can't really visit you to check it in the short term. Although I will be visiting Autofarm in the next few weeks so it could be doable. I'll keep an eye on your eBay ad. Thanks again. Craig.
