Check your side pods!

The last few times I've driven my turbo I thought the car smelt a bit like oil inside, which was odd as the car doesn't leak oil anywhere. Well, not until this morning when I saw this at the OSR corner

At first I thought it was fuel leaking but quickly remembered I had a 1 litre oil can in the side pod of the boot. Therefore, it was no surprise to find this lurking under the oil can!

It had been slowly leaking out. All clean now and maybe a little extra rust proofing is now present in the little crevices in the pod [:D]

So what's lurking in your side pod?

Similarly. . . I have recently learned not to fill my top up oil 1 litre bottle to the brim. Summer weather seems to make the oil expand and seep out of the plastic screw thread lid. Mess[:(]
