Hi everyone -

Just to remind you that the East Mids Annual Concours is on 3 July at Chatsworth, Derbyshire.

There are four 'street concours' classes for our members and one for visitors. Why not give your car a good clean and enter (you can enter on the day) - you may surprise yourself.

Entry to the event costs £5.00 per car which will include complementary refreshments and raffle tickets. There is a further small charge of £1.50 payable to Chatsworth for the car park. So thats £6.50 for a day out ! - what a bargain.

The House and Gardens will be open at discounted rates for PCGB members (do not forget your membership cards).

Chatsworth is the premier Country House in England with many visitor attractions - see www.chatsworth.org - so why not come along, bring a picnic and make it a family day out!

We will have a Porsche tractor on display from Peter Bradley and a Porsche racing car from a member in the Sheffield area.

See you all on 3 July from 10.00am onwards.

Happy motoring - Randolph Coward

Hi Randolph, do we pay on the day for this or pre-book ? Let me know and I'll do the necessary,...Mark

Hi Mark -

There is a form on page 139 of May P.Post. If you could fill it in and send it to me that would be great or just turn up on the day and pay £5 + £1.50 for car park.

See you on 3 July.

I was originally thinking of BMW Concours at Paddock Wood with the 'other car' but the idea of an early morning drive from Kent seems like fun... even after a late night !! Might even go for a street concours - as long as i remember to take the brake dust remover with me ...

You anywhere near maidstone steve?

Hi Andrew -

I presume you will not need to clean your car for Chatsworth with it being so new ! - or have you done a lot of miles in it already ?

Happy motoring - Randolph

Steve and I had better pack our woolies as well ... and bring raincoats no doubt! Will we need winter tyres up there ?

Hi Colin and Steve -

You are always assured of a warm welcome from us poor folk 'up north'.

Just bring plenty of change (or notes) to drop in our plastic buckets in front of our cars !

Happy motoring - Randolph Coward

Hi Randolph,

When I picked the car up - Robin (General Sales Manager) made me laugh ! His words were, "I suppose your off to give it a good clean Andrew" [:D][:D]

I decided to come back via the A5 great run - load of bugs to get rid of now []

See you soon

Andrew

Does anyone know if there are any 964 specific gatherings at the Chatsworth event?? We're contemplating popping up from MK on Sunday and want to make sure we go to the right place.

Looking forward to it.

Regards

Dave

Hi Dave -

I do not know of any specific 964 gathering.

Chatsworth is 16 miles from M1 junction 29, signposted via Chesterfield - follow the brown Chatsworth signs. We will be located just outside the main house.

See you on 3 July.

Happy motoring - Randolph Coward
