Thank you. Hmmm I'm trying to trace a fuel smell from under the bonnet drivers side when the engine is started but cannot see any signs of leaks.
Urgent check of the fuel lines behind the wing, if you don't have new fuel lines already?

I have just ordered some fuel dye to help with finding the problem.

its not like the fuel leak on Dell's Van
I'd hazard a guess, removal of the nsf wheel arch liner will reveal the problem, a saturated inner arch and floor
Sorry to hear of the bodge artists you have been involved with
Take care

I spoke to my insurance company re the issues I still have and they basically said "tuff luck" I queried this with the Insurance Ombudsman who confirm this and said its a contract between me and my self appointed repairer and that I need to go back to them and maybe also trading standards

it won't drip on the floor from a slow leak as it evaporates, but with 2.5 bar behind it, that changes

The fact you can't find anything obvious thus far suggests to me it is more likely to be the return line. A leak in the pressure line would be spraying out.
If nothing is revealed there then pull the wheelarch liner so you can trace the lines up to the hose joints in the engine bay.

To be fair to the repairers, there are a lot of things that might occur on the car at this age even if it wasn't in an accident.
944 fuel lines last 20 or 25 years, but they do fail eventually. I think it's a tough call to say it's either the accident that caused them to finally give up, or a poor repair?

For instance this is their idea of a repair to the bat wing

And you can see the stain where my damaged oil cooler has been leaking.
