Central locking remote

Over the past few days the remote zapper seems to have a reduced range.
I have changed the battery to no avail but realise that the range hasn't been great since getting the car last year.

I have found a 'fix' on Renntech forum about reducing the length of the antenna but it goes on to refer to 'for North America markets'.
Can anyone confirm if this 'mod' is valid for RoW as I'm not too keen on carrying out this mod if it will further reduce the range of the zapper.

Thanks once again Richard. I took car into OPC today to have a new zapper programmed in and asked them if they could recode the dash to enable the computer part. The guy in service said that not all dashes can be enabled - do you know if this is true? It seemed like he didnt want to be there today and when I got car back the computer wasn't on - I forgot to ask if they tried to enable it or not before I left. Cheers once again. Dave

On pre-facelift cars, you can enable the OBC and it will display the outside air temperature in the display. Sounds like he couldn't be bothered to try.....
