By the way, bought the Zunnsport grills all round for my Cayman and absolutely delighted -they look great and practical too. Strongly recommend anyone thinking about getting these. Easy to fit too!

You could swap the speakers and power the door subs straight from the Pioneer unit as well.
As for the stereo I have no idea if you can just change speakers and it will probably be best to check with a specialist stereo company. Maybe someone in your own area can advise of a good company but unfortunately members won't know where you are based, as you will notice many of us put our region and approximate locality as it helps other gauge and advise if we know of specialists and other things in someone's area.

Or maybe try and source a boxster/cayman faulty bose sub, and adapt it to a analogue sub & amp?
