I've done nearly 5,500 miles now and am confused about how little oil i've had to add to the engine. I did the run-in according to the book but since the run-in, that's after 2,000 miles, i've driven the car very enthusiastically.
I've only added a tiny bit of oil during the run-in and now, at 5,500 miles, another tiny amount to keep the oil level just one bar over halfway between the minimum and maximum readings on the dipstick.
I check the oil level with the car parked on a level surface and before starting the engine whether the engine is hot or cold (assuming that the oil level can be read within 5 seconds).
So, a couple of questions: have you guys added much oil so far and where on the electronic dipstick do you aim to keep your oil level? As I mentioned, I aim for one bar over midway (or one bar below max, to look at it another way).
