Cayenne Faulty door handles

Has anyone fell out yet ?

Had the shock of my life the other day, or rather the wife did when we went round a right hand bend and the passenger door opened !!!

Porsche tell me that they forgot to grease up the door handles on all models when on the production line, looks like to fine a tolerance to me on the exterior door handles and they sometimes get stuck open when entering from the outside, you then enter and shut the door but the handle is still up !!

Has anyone else had this problem ?

yep always getting KN's with outer door handles stuck/sticking quite common

We had the same problem with the handles sticking in the "open" position. However, the door would never close properly when that happened and therefore never had a near falling out experience like your wife!
Maybe that's why the seatbelts dont retract properly. Porsche were thinking that if the doors swung open, then it would give people something to grab on to on the way out.[]

Hmmmm. perhaps the Cayenne has a good point after all.

That would have saved me a fortune in solicitors bills []

No this problem is not funny.smaller children really could fall out through the belt.i had mine fixed with silicone grease it lasted till i got home 15 miles then started again it is worse after washing. i now carry a silicone spray.the throttle is very erratic especially wen cold.my locAL DEALER WAS AWAITING A NEW PROGRAMME TO ENTER ON MY LAST VISIT.As i was the first on the cayenne register and took delivery last june you wud have thought it would be sorted by now.By the way mine does not like snow on the standard tryes.one of my sons lives in Meribel in French Alpes and he made me look silly in his clapped out Land Rover.I am not a novice off roader !

Does anyone know if the Toureg has the same problem with the doors?

dont know about the doors but you cannot get rubber mats for the kay en
but you can for the toureg and they fit i believe
