Cayenne 92A (Gen 2) pano roof manual opening

Hi All,

I haven't opened the roof since last summer and now it will only tilt but not slide back. I know that the manual release is in the roof motor but I can't get it to move. The manual states that it can be opened and closed using the hex tool but a reply on another forum suggested that it can only be closed manually.
Has anyone managed to open their roof manually ? Just wondering whether it takes brute force or whether it should be silky smooth. I don't want to force it and break something !!
I've tried the reset option but no luck. Would disconnecting the battery, waiting a few minutes then reconnecting help ?

Many thanks

Morning Roadrunner and welcome to the forum.

Sorry this isn’t something I’ve personally experienced, but hopefully someone on here might have a better idea on how to address this. I do know the reset procedure is to keep your finger on the button for around 20 seconds each way, but it sounds like you’ve already tried doing that, so it looks like sadly a visit to your local dealership or preferred independent may be required.

Hope you manage to get it sorted.
Greg.

Thanks Greg. I haven't tried moving the button both ways so will give that a go. I've now confused the roller sunblind as that will no longer close !! It was working fine before.....
