Carrera 2 squeaky wishbones

My 1999 C2 has developed an embarassing and worrying "honeymoon bed" creak. Autostrasse diagnose this as the f/o/s wishbone which I've now booked in for replacement (at stunningly reasonable cost). Is this a common fault, and is the other side likely to follow suit shortly? - any experiences and advice greatly appreciated.

If they aren't charging too much for labour you might want to get the other side replaced as well at the same time.
 
Can you describe this in a bit more deatil as I think mine may have it on the passenger side, and after just shelling out for another years warranty, is it covered?

my 2000 carrera 4 passenger side has also developed this recently, its annoying over speedbumps, very like a bed squeak, i too am on warrently but have to book it in for an assesment by my opc
 
Autostrasse say it's usually the driver's side that makes the noise. They've quoted me £250 (ish) to supply & fit. - goes in this week! Can' t say if it's a warranty item. Check with opc.
