Hi, I have a problem with my windows misting up/condensation with in minutes of leaving the car, carpets all seem dry so not sure where to look. Any advice would be appreciated

Thanks

Gavin

Hi Gavin

Check boot side pods and the spare wheel well. They'd be next most likely culprit I'd have thought.

Cheers

Often just the amount of damp in the car, mine has always done this despite being leak-free. There's always a certain amount of moisture in the car, including on you when you get in with wet feet, damp clothes etc. in the wet weather.

look under carpets they have rubberised backs and water will not soak through to carpet surface if water underneath.
I have just sorted a wet 0/s rear footwell , found petrol filler area drainhole tube disconnected and water was going down inside rear quarter panel and wheel arch and getting into footwell area via inner sill apertures , it was also wetting front seat belt mechanism and belt.It was pouring out of sill bottom when I poured water down it to find the problem. The rear carpet was not wet just under it.

Another place is small leaks from the rear lights that drain to the rear side pods. This causes condensation on the rear window.

Well I had elliot remove my rear lights and re-fit them and also unblocked the drain holes in the rear wheel wells, and it seems to be ok now. Thanks for all the advice
