Breaking a latter 86 car with electric seats but material is damaged on one and not as nice stripe pattern

So can i work it so i get electrics and my nice cloth,

ps worked in bodyshop so changed a few seat covers when side airbags gone off or materials been damged in accident

thanks

No, the seats are different. You can see this if you place early and late alongside each other.

+1 ,They are very different . There is a very slight possibility it could be done if it turns out you have enough fabric to work with but i doubt it , anyway you would have to be very good with the sewing needle.
I made my own seat upholstery but it's a project i wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Catalin, whats the chance of a 'how to remove your seat covers' article with pictures??? [:D]

Very slim since i lost most of my pics when my other computer decided it wants a new hard drive.
I did make a small thread on the seats i recovered but they are early sport seats , i presume you were interested in late style seats .I did also take apart my old electric seats to repair, wash and dye them but i doubt i still have the pictures ,i will look for them.
Here is the thread i did on the sport seats although it can't be used as a guide http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/924-931-944-951-968-forum/706300-early-sport-seats.html

Not sure if you have seen it but a good "how to" thread was done by kongsodoken http://forums.tipec.net/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=13568&hilit=seat

I have a couple of pairs of series two seats which have dirty script material. Id like to remove the covers in order to wash them as you suggested, but Im reluctant to start something that I cant finish...
