Cambelt change

I am thinking of doing my 2.5, 944 (1983) cambelt change myself, does anyone know where I can get a 944 flywheel locking tool or the brand name of a good universal one?

Having done the belts, I didn't use a locking tool. Just make sure everything is lined up TDC - mark on the cam gear first then cross reference with the flywheel mark. Nowhere near as complicated as people make out, Clark's is very useful (as ever). PCGB will lend you the belt tensioning tool too if you ask nicely. You send a cheque for £10 for postage and one for £300 that they hold onto in case you don't return the tool. When you're done, send it back recorded delivery and they shred your £300 cheque.

Thanks, I just had a look at the clarks site, seems very informative, still trying to decide whether to get the car picked up by PH Sports cars (I don't want to start the engine again, I had it running a few weeks ago but I have had the car garaged for 6 years and the belt is 8 years old so I don't want to risk it again) and have the job done by them or to do it myself, obviously it's cheaper to do it myself....provided all goes well!.
