This is a press photo taken from septemper 1988 Christophorus. Some of the details are not the same as they were on production engines, like header color and yellow passived altenator wheel etc. Also Purolator oil filters were not used.

Many years ago I went with our ex Register Secretary Martyn Cockram to pickup a new camcover ordered from Porsche and it came in a rather fetching metallic grey. I have no idea how they all turn beige???????
They used a batch of left-over Allegro paint which they had managed to buy at a discount from the supplier as Allegro production had ended. *

Yes Glenn I think you did make this up. However you have come extremely close to the truth.They did in fact get a load of paint from BL,however it was Marina Paint and not Allegro paint.
