This may be of assistance to any of you who might have experienced the same thing.
Basically I had a buzz/hum from my gt4 autodimming rear view mirror. It would stop if I applied pressure to the housing.

Firstly I had to remove the cover directly above the mirror. I used a sharp wide trim tool between the screen & the cover & with a gentle flex it pops off.

It splits in the middle as above & comes off in 2 halves.

The buzz/hum was caused by vibration of the thin metal plate under the cover.
To silence the buzz, I used 3 thick pieces of sticky back foam as above. I then refitted the cover with the fix concealed, road tested & now thankfully the noise is gone.
