Buy Carrera now or wait for 993?

I' ve been saving up for a 993 for some time now... (with a plan to keep the car for the long term) at this rate still have 12-18 months to go - but very tempted to say to hell with it and buy a 3.2 Carrera (put off somewhat by stories of 964' s) - what do you guys think? I have crossposted this in 993 to try to get a " balanced" view! Any advice/opinions welcome.
 
Buy a 3.2 now. You might be dead in 18 months time, why wait to drive a Porsche?
Anyway the 3.2 holds its value so well you can always sell it for what you paid for it and buy a 993 later.

Go on you know it makes sense!
