Broken Windscreen

I was cleaning the car (March 2023 registration therefore still under warranty) this weekend when my windscreen, and then my heart, broke. My insurers have referred me to National Windscreen in Croydon. I have made it clear that it needs to be a Porsche OEM window. Is there anything else that I should consider? Does the windscreen need to be replaced by a Porsche dealer etc? Many thanks.

Most Porsche Centres commission some other outfit for windscreen replacements rather than do it themselves. This could be NS, Autoglass or some other favourite. Screens then have to be calibrated, using specialist equipment to ensure sensors and cameras etc. work correctly.

Regards,

Clive

If you had it replaced at the OPC, even if they did outsource it to a specialist, you would always have the contract with the OPC should anything be a problem in the future.

Try and ensure its a genuine part.
