Brake hoses. DIY?

I'm hunting around for the best option for replacing the a 26 year old brake hoses on the front of my 220T. It seems to replace with new standard ones comes in at ~£50, with braided hoses £70 or more.

Is it difficult to make your own? The parts seem considerably cheaper! £5/metre of braided hose and a few quid for each connector.

i would go with the braided hose everytime , you can make them yrself ...but if you make a mistake the first time then it will costed you more , also you'll need to buy the tool to make them .

I would try and find some secondhand ones on ebay or this forum as some are bought but never fitted .

Well in that case... if anybody has some (new or nearly new) hoses for an early turbo going spare...!!

Id try the fellow who runs the 968 forum - he understand the requirements and the shortcomings of the poor American fitment list that Goodrige use and they were the cheapest for mine. The company is called 300-something and can be found, IIRC, by searching Recaro Seats UK too.

K300 and I believe that the fellow is called Nick.

I've made up brake hoses before - it's not hard. I don't think you need any special tools for the flexy hoses.

The cost difference is relatively marginal though

Merlin motorsport will also make you up brake (or other) hoses

Mr K300 is Stuart btw :)

I should have a set of new Goodridge hoses if you need some. Can have a look tomorrow if you want,
