Brake Advice - Plate Lift? ABS? Hoses?

Looking for some advice on some braking issues with my "˜89 S2:

The stopping power has felt reduced over the last 6 months or so with extra pressure on the pedal being needed to stop the car. The problem has been consistent, i.e. it hasn't worsened over time since becoming an issue. I've checked the pads and discs and all seems fine there so I'm assuming the issue is elsewhere "" Plate Lift?

I've also noticed that when you first apply the brakes within the first minute or so of setting off the pedal doesn't want to be pushed down all the way and starts to judder at about half way down. If you lift off and then apply more pressure the car stops as normal. Wondering if maybe there's an issue with the ABS?

If I do have a problem with plate lift what are the options and likely costs? I'm not handy with the spanners so I would need to get all works carried out by a specialist.

I think the brake hoses could probably do with replacing too "" any advice on likely cost to replace much appreciated!

Might be unrelated, but will mention just in case, but the off side front brakes are particularly squeaky, especially at low speed.

All advice / anecdotal experience appreciated!

Not going to be cheap at a specialist. I would start with getting the plate lift cured, some new braided flexis and then get the brake fluid changed. After that you can then see if your issues are cured or if you need to explore further.
