Is there any company out there retro fitting a glass rear screen to our ' old' plastic ones.

I understand the desire to do this - I wnted to drop the top today as it was nice and sunny. However it was also nice and cold! So I chickened out - don' t want a broken rear screen...

The problem with retrofitting a glass screen is you need to replace the whole top, and the supporting frame. The design is different - otherwise the glass would need to fold in half!

Yes, be careful - this does happen!

I split the rear screen one of my previous cars as it was too cold.

£Costly.

Same here, mine cracked at 0c in the winter (what was I thinking?), but still useable. I' m going to get it replaced for around £250, several places offer this change, although most will tell you to get the whole top changed, because the stitching of the new rear screen sometimes leaks.

get yourself a hard top. the car looks great, drives quieter and with climate control you don' t miss the fresh air.

i always have to be pursuaded to remove it in the spring.

I was told at the Glasgow OPC that you can' t fit the heated glass rear screen to older models: is it possible to get an unheated glass one instead...?
