Hi
Thinking of retro fitting the illuminated door sill kick strips to my 918 Boxter. Has anyone had experience of doing this? According to Design 911 there are no 'Boxster GTS' illuminated strips available after market. Has anyone been able to find an after market supplier. Any hints or tips on fitting if I buy the Porsche supplied parts?
Thanks

No 1st hand experience - but how much of the wiring is in place to hook up the power/earth - be bad to pull the old ones apart - I believe it to be a destructive exercise only to find there's no power available.

Its not unusual for sections of loom to be omitted if something wasn't factory specc'ed - also - again - no experience, perhaps these would need coding to the car to come on at the right time - rather than just being "slaved" off the courtesy lights.

I had them retro fitted them to our 718 Boxster GTS - supplied and fitted by Porsche Centre Portsmouth, cost around £900, got a good PCGB discount. Well worth it they do add a certain bit of theatre and nice finishing touch View attachment IMG_9954.jpeg
