Roof elastic need replacing. This looks easy to sow a new piece on at the end you can see - but where does the other end of worn out elastic go? and how on earth could you fix this end if you cannot even see it ?
Any help or suggestions would be much appreaciated.
 
If it helps, my one side (passenger) when slack and the hood cord would slip to the out side when closing.
I just folded the elastic ribbon that was slack and stapled the excess so 'shortening' the length. Works a treat and 2 years on.
All very crude, but fixed things quickly.

I would think Google may be your best friend, even a good indie will be good and reasonable?
 
It’s a screw on the “underside” of the roof bar - you can see it, or touch it but not both - the key is you only need to loosen it a little - pull off the old elastic and when read slip the new one over, pull gently to seat it and retighten - you only need to loosen a couple of turns. Suggest putting a cloth or a towel underneath to catch it in case you go too far and fumble it,

I did mine a few weeks ago - I have large hands and it was a bit tight, but patience and care and all done in 30 minss
